• Oversee and maintain quality of outsourced tax returns for indirect taxes in the U.S. and Canada.
• Proactively manage indirect tax audits and respond to tax notices.
• Collaborate with others in finance and the business to advise on indirect tax matters.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and business partners.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations to determine any impact on the business.
• Maintain and reconcile indirect tax balance sheet accounts.
• Identify tax exposures of potential acquisitions through due diligence.
• Assist the Financial Systems team in managing tax technology applicable to the indirect tax function.Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• Minimum 8 years of indirect tax experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience managing indirect tax audits with direct interaction with tax authorities.
• Ability to work effectively as a leader, part of a team, and as an individual contributor.
• History of managing external consultants.
